Stippled ink drawing- Started this years ago and I keep coming back to it to add on inbetween other projects. I dont even want to know how many hours i have in it currently much less how many it will take to finish yet. The whole piece measures 15 inches (38cm) tall by 24 inches (61 cm) wide.
It's based on the idea that we have a million little things that make us who we are, and we, along with others trap ourselves with the way we define ourselves. I've even trapped myself into this longterm artwork by committing to stippling such a piece. There is an open book in the composition that will include text that has yet to be decided. Maybe bible passage, but more likely going to have a poet friend of mine write something based on the ideas in this piece. LOTS of symbolism and surrealism in this piece right down to being specific about what constellation I used near the moon.
Sorry for the less than great cell phone pic, just thought I'd share this one. I don't only do airbrush after all, lol
Comments questions and critiques always welcome- Mike
I remember this Peice in art when i was in jr high heheh i thought i was complete then but an artist's art is never complete on paper yes but in the mind there are many things that we want to add on
Great start. Mike! I tried this "pointilism" I think they called it - in high school. Imagine 30 kids at a desk, TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP TAP all at the same time, for an hour!!
Oh I've been the teacher in that situation!!! I do my own at the same time to keep my sanity and show the students I won't demand anything I won't do myself
